Medical students and sixth formers

We welcome medical students, especially from Brighton and Sussex Medical School.  In addition to automatic free membership, BSMS students can present student research (e.g. Independent Research Projects or intercalated degrees) as part of a Med-Chi session.  Such presentations do not have to be clinical:  we also welcome presentations relating to medical humanities, ethics and global health.  Students are involved as council members, assisting with publicity and supporting Med-Chi’s collaboration with the BSMS widening participation programme.  We are  active in the history of medicine and opportunities exist for BSMS students to research and publish material from our extensive archives.  Students interested in history of medicine research through our archives should contact the BSMS representative on Med-Chi council, Dr Max Cooper ().
